These appointments can take up to 60 minutes. Your partner (if any) is highly encouraged to attend the initial appointment, and will also be required to obtain a GP referral. Anju will take a thorough history, perform a gynaecological examination if required and review all the investigations already performed for both yourself and your partner (if any). She may then order more investigations as required based on your requirement.
Further appointments may then be organised to discuss results and plan treatment as necessary.

We understand without Medicare it can be a frustrating process to need to receive a GP referral prior to seeing Dr Agarwal . However a referral letter is an important document in your health care journey and provides us with necessary information such as past medical conditions, prior results/investigations, general health history and a full outline of your current condition.
This also provides a gateway should you require ongoing services such as repeat scripts, or a condition that can be refereed back to the GP for ongoing management.
As such, yes - we do require a GP referral for all patients, regardless of Medicare status.
